LETTER: Christmas in April a Great Program

From: Valerie Davenport, Elkton

I would like to thank Christmas in April, the president Bunny Martin, and the members of Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church: Sam and Fay Pierce, Ruth and Ron Hartman, Ken and Doris Howett, Gene and Trixie Waddell, Sandy Scott, Doug Johnson, Kelly Hannum, Colin Weaver, Cameron Weaver, and Jimmy Thompson.

Thank you so much for giving your time, energy, and hard work to make repairs to my home that I could not do or afford myself. I'm so blessed to have found a program like Christmas in April. Last year Christmas in April repaired my window and weather stripping and replaced my porch railings. I didn't realize until this year that they take on much bigger projects. I had my bathroom remodeled, plus exterior housework and yard work done. I met some very nice people. They felt like friends instead of someone I was meeting for the first time. I felt very comfortable with this group that was assigned to my home.

Bunny Martin opened my eyes to much more than I ever knew about Christmas in April. She really helped me a lot. I am told not many people know about Christmas in April. There are requirements you must meet, but I would suggest trying Christmas in April next year. They just might be able to help you too!
